Responsibilities Our Physical Therapists fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by providing Physical Therapy services in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. They serve as functional mobility and rehabilitation experts and are key stakeholders in patients’ functional recovery and interdisciplinary discharge planning. Physical therapists at GW Hospital are essential partners with providers, nurses, and support staff in an academic medical center, Level 1 Trauma Center, enhancing patients’ functional recovery and elevating patient care through quality initiatives, research, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary care.
Qualifications PT Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
Master’s degree in physical therapy preferred
Must have DC License before start of employment
Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by AHA or Red Cross
