Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs , and others in need, including a special education preschool program.
We are in search of new talent in the following position… The
Speech & Language Pathologist
develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans for students with speech/language needs. Location:
Bronx, NY 10457 Minimum Qualifications: New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and/or NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist. Speech & Language Pathologist Principal Responsibilities: Assess speech-language skills as necessary to determine child’s need for therapy. Provide quality speech therapy services to students as mandated on the IEP. Consult and interface with colleagues at team meetings. Provide parent training and ongoing communication with parents. Complete all required paperwork and documentation. Provide in-service training and participate in staff development activities. Meet with supervisor on ongoing basis.
