Job purpose Oversee the engineering function, providing technical support to the beverage production facility, including maintenance, installation, upgrades, and commissioning of machinery and technical systems within the beverage production facility Main Responsibilities Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage all plant engineering projects to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, and improve overall efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, budgets, and timelines. Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment. Supervise maintenance staff and contractors to ensure the reliability of equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment and machinery issues. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction. Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize production processes. In liaison with the leadership team, set and review departmental Budgets, Objectives, Goals, and SOPs. Create, implement, optimize, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve overall department goals. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the manufacturing plant. Conduct safety assessments and risk assessments. Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Evaluate energy consumption and develop strategies to improve energy efficiency. Identify sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact. Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to sustainability. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the department. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, projects, and equipment history. Prepare reports on plant performance, project status, and key metrics. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in plant engineering within a manufacturing environment. Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of successful project execution In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and maintenance practices. Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Professional certifications from the Board of Engineers (e.g., PEng, CMRP) are advantageous
