The production planner scheduler coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Must have knowledge of each stage of the production process to effectively organize and execute a job plan that will keep production running on schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
Interacts with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering groups to manage and track Sales orders through the Planning process
Monitor Production progress and provide notification as required when adjustments are needed to support on-time delivery
Review and Release Production orders based on MRP recommendations while maintaining a constant Department workload
Monitor the Work Center Queue to ensure that all the criteria for released jobs are properly reflecting the production orders going thru various manufacturing departments
Attend daily production meetings and provide input as required for proper sequencing and execution of production orders
Coordinate with Production Managers/Supervisors to maximize resource utilization
Analyze various Planning reports and work with Manufacturing Departments to fix and correct errors that would keep production orders from progressing
Work in conjunction with the Warehouse Department to ensure that orders are getting to Assembly in a timely manner
Review, modify, and print Production routers to best reflect what’s running on the production floor
May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor

Proficient in MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel, and experience with ERP/MRP systems

Core Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or 3 years Manufacturing experience in Production Planning in Lieu of degree
3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, production planning, production control & working with BOM’s and routings preferred
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, planning, shop floor control and job costing
