As a
Project Engineer
supporting
civil infrastructure projects , you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination, and execution of work in the field. Working closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Quality/Safety personnel, you will ensure that all aspects of project delivery align with LEMOINE's standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. This position is ideal for a motivated and organized individual eager to learn the civil side of construction—including earthwork, utilities, site development, and concrete structures—while growing into future leadership roles within the Infrastructure Division. Key Responsibilities
Assist with
project documentation
including submittals, RFIs, daily reports, material logs, and change orders. Support
Superintendents and Project Managers
with field coordination, progress tracking, and subcontractor management. Participate in
surveying, layout verification, and quality control
of civil and sitework activities. Help maintain project schedules, procurement tracking, and jobsite logistics. Monitor
material quantities, deliveries, and cost coding
to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with safety teams to uphold LEMOINE's zero-incident culture. Take initiative in day-to-day operations, ensuring timely communication between field and office personnel. Support
project closeout activities , including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentation. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field . 0–2 years of construction experience (internships, co-ops, or field experience in civil/heavy projects preferred). Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with
Procore, Bluebeam, or HCSS HeavyJob
is a plus. Willingness to travel and work on-site at
remote or active construction projects . Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of taking ownership of assigned responsibilities. Preferred Attributes
Interest or experience in
heavy civil, roadway, sitework, or public infrastructure projects . Ability to adapt to
outdoor and evolving field environments . Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. Desire for long-term growth into
Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator
