Responsibilities:
Evaluate tool designs, drive completion of tool qualifications, first article inspection, cosmetic quality, process validation, failure analysis, process changes, and risk analysis.
Deliver a qualified, repeatable production process yielding industry best-in-class cosmetic components.
Plan for maintenance and engineering changes; employ statistical principles for part qualification.
Collaborate with product design team and manufacturing design engineer on product architecture to ensure mass production success.
Partner with SQE to drive yield improvement at the supplier; monitor and validate existing molding processes and molds to identify improvement opportunities.
Track defects and address failure Pareto for technical modifications contributing to improvement; deliver daily updates on tooling status, readiness, issues, and downtime reasons.
Drive vendors to justify all modifications.
