Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog is looking for a
Senior Quality Engineer
to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. You will have a measurable impact on the performance of our business by promoting the highest standards of quality. Since the hardware that we produce is very complex, we are looking for someone who understands the important nature of it. You will report to a Program QE Manager and work onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area).
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will:
Have integrity and the courage to address problems immediately, fostering an environment of transparency and trust. Be responsible for quality success on program teams, meeting contractual requirements, and making crucial quality-related decisions for our customers. Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain transparent communication with customers. Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and supporting manufacturing personnel with quality issues. Facilitate cross-functional teams through problem-solving activities including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support, configuration control, and traceability. Develop quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and final inspection processes. Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root causes and corrective actions. Improve inspection costs and prevent failures through statistical analysis and problem solving. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent STEM field. At least 8 years of professional experience in Engineering or Manufacturing. Preferred: 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, and database software packages. Benefits include:
