These are benefited, full time positions generally working Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed with varied shifts between the hours of 7am-7pm. Located at various Scripps campuses. *Receive an additional ~$3/hr for the Scripps Systemwide Resource Services (SSRS) Differential due to the travelling nature of this position within this department.

What you'll do:
This position requires you to float to various clinics all over San Diego County across multiple specialties.
Knowing their professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for successfully completing the Scripps Clinical Core competency program.
Maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment.
Organizing and performing patient care services that support the physician's practice, including:
Assisting in preparing patients for examination/procedures
Assisting physicians with procedures
Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
Collecting patient data in person and by phone
Documenting patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
Administering medications specifically directed by the physician
Performing vital sign documentation
Scheduling of appointments and procedures
Complete and accurate message taking
Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
Order and referral entry
Acquisition of pre-certifications
Setting up cases in EPIC
Basic registration and updating of demographics
