Rockledge Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team in our in-house subacute rehabilitation setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients as they work towards recovery and improved communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment:
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
Individualized Treatment Plans:
Develop and implement personalized therapy plans based on patient needs and goals, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Therapy Sessions:
Provide direct therapy services to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to enhance communication and swallowing abilities.
Family Education:
Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and strategies to support recovery.
Progress Monitoring:
Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care.
Professional Development:
Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Experience in a rehabilitation setting is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
