Responsibilities The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has the knowledge and skills to meet professional practice standards specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to the assigned clinical area; recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Diploma in Nursing or graduate from an accredited nursing school.
Licensure/Certification : Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or Red Cross; other certificates as required by unit/service.
Experience : One (1) year full-time RN experience or completion of GN Program.
Language : Bilingual skills preferred.
Communication Skills : Above average verbal (heavy public contact); exceptional verbal (public speaking); writing/composing (correspondence/reports).
Proficiencies : Computer proficiency (P.C.).
Work Schedule Weekends, holidays, flexible, on call.
