Project Manager

Responsibilities
Lead projects and programs in a dynamic field of engineering focused on Power Utility work in an OH, UG, or URD environment. Manage project and program performance of engineering deliverables including risk, schedule, and quality. Ensure day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering in areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Coordinate with third-party companies and subcontractors as required. Provide internal and external reporting of financials, project progress, and change management. Support internal execution teams with tracking and controls of key performance indicators to support project success. The successful Project Manager I candidate will support the following activities with moderate oversight from a Lead Project Manager: Support project teams in completing engineering design for electric infrastructure projects (both public-owned and investor-owned utilities). Manage overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and reporting. Develop and implement recovery plans to maintain compliance with approved budgets and timelines. Ensure full contract compliance and adherence to client requirements. Drive deliverables by coordinating with Engineering Leads, Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams. Maintain and document compliance with established quality control processes. Serve as the primary interface with clients and internal management to resolve issues, track progress, and report costs, schedule adherence, and risks across programs. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, functional leaders, and support personnel. Contribute to bid preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses. Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed deadlines. Collaborate with teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities. Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field and 3+ years of relevant project management experience Proficiency with project management software (Workfront, MS Project, P6, or similar). Strong MS Office skills; advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.) preferred. Proven experience managing project financials, scopes, and schedules. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts across multiple tasks. Strong understanding of project financial planning, monitoring, and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification (preferred; or willingness to obtain within the first year). Experience working with various contract types (Fixed Price, Time & Materials). Direct utility industry experience, including exposure to projects for major U.S. electric utilities. Demonstrated success in collaborative, team-based consulting environments.
