Our bank client is seeking to fill a Remote SBA Business Development Officer role. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with customers and potential customers to identify SBA/USDA loans throughout the Bank’s footprint or the SBA LOs assigned Regions/Markets. This role is responsible for originating/producing SBA/USDA Loans, preparing the Write Up/MEMO, Prescreen, determining eligibility per the SBA SOP/USDA Reqs, and submitting to the SBA/USDA staff for processing and on-going servicing.
The position includes a salary of up to $110K + Commission and an excellent benefits package.
Candidates must reside in Texas or Florida. (This is a remote position) SBA Business Development Officer responsibilities include: Extensive knowledge of the SBA 7a loan programs
,
products and services (and general knowledge of USDA RD One). This duty is performed about 100% of the time. Ensures confidential, sensitive information and data of all customers, the bank, its customers, potential customers, and its employees is secured and disposed of in accordance with bank’s policy guidelines established by each business unit. This duty is performed about 100% of the time. Originates sufficient volume of SBA 7a/SBA Express Loans (and SBA 504, USDA). This duty is performed about 100% of the time. Discuss each loan request with the SBA Dept Manager to determine viability of loan request; Interview applicants and requests specified information for SBA/USDA loan application; requests credit reports, establishes eligibility, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; gathers as much information about the loan request and the owners/guarantors (eligibility), and determines whether to submit to SBA USDA Loan Processing Specialist/Packager to proceed with the application (nCino) and underwriting/approval process; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Performs site visits and provides photos of collateral, if any. This duty is performed about 75% of the time. Assists SBA Credit Analyst/Underwriter & Closing Specialist in collection of documents to complete the application & closing process. This duty is performed about 75% of the time. Determines which documentation is required in accordance with both loan size and collateral. Responds accurately to borrowers/guarantors/applicant’s questions regarding the necessity of required documentation. This duty is performed about 75% of the time. Forward all documents to SBA USDA Loan Processing Specialist/Packager, to be uploaded to the SBA Dept P Drive (or nCino) for review by the SBA Dept and any team member associated with the transaction. This duty is performed about 25% of the time. Maintains communication and relationship throughout the SBA process, and site inspections. This duty is performed about 75% of the time. Supports the SBA/USDA Dept Manager to assist Regional Conventional Loan Officers with training/structuring SBA/USDA loans. This duty is performed about 20% of the time. Update PIPELINE Report daily/weekly. This duty is performed about 10% of the time. Contact prospective borrowers when instructed by the SBA/USDA Dept staff. This duty is performed about 10% of the time. Keeps track of COI/referral sources and Loan Referral Fee Agreements. This duty is performed about 25% of the time. Assists customers and employees with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to SBA loan products and services offered. This duty is performed about 20% of the time.
