JR58787The Senior Benefits Compliance Manager will lead compliance efforts across Federal, State, and local regulations related to employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, disability, leave laws, and paid sick time. This role also involves supporting compensation-related compliance initiatives to ensure alignment with legal standards and organizational policies.**How You Will Make Contributions That Matter*** Establish effective audit practices for benefit programs and ensure compliance with non-discrimination testing, comparative analysis, required notices, disclosures and filings.* Oversee compliance-related submissions (e.g. Form 5500, Form 1094/1095).* Drafting and reviewing technical benefit documents (e.g. SPDs, SMMs, SBCs), working with legal counsel as required on amendments to plan documents.* Ensure that benefit programs are administered internally and externally in compliance with company policies and government regulations such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA.* Monitor changes in regulations and requirements at Federal, State and local levels that impact the organization’s compensation or benefit offerings.* Coordinate the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure department meets compliance requirements.* Facilitate compliance awareness and training efforts, including conducting HR training as required (e.g. HIPAA training).* Identify opportunities to improve processes, including analyzing audit reports and ensuring integrity of the HRIS and other systems.* Serves as the department’s internal resource for all regulatory and compliance-related matters.**You Are Best Suited for The Role If You….*** 8+ years of experience in Compliance relative to Benefit Plans* Bachelor’s Degree required* Possess a strong knowledge of state and federal benefit regulations* Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners* Highly detailed and deadline-oriented.
