This program allows income-eligible applicants the opportunity to own their own home by participating in groups of 8 to 12 to build each other's homes, with extensive help and training from Housing Kitsap. Mortgage payments (principal and interest) are based on income, not the current market interest rate, making them more affordable for families and individuals with income at or below 80% of the county median income as determined by HUD.
