Overview
The Facility Maintenance & Project Construction Manager will be responsible for the basic maintenance & repair, as well as overseeing smaller construction projects and bigger projects of a multi-facility group, mainly dealerships. This individual should have commercial maintenance and construction experience, including working knowledge of the exterior & interior of the buildings as well as vital systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, etc. People skills and strong verbal & written communication skills paired with the ability to think critically, build positive relationships with vendors & owners alike, and demonstrate a high level of cooperation & competence is required. This individual must be proficient in record-keeping by utilizing a workorder system. They must perform all duties with honesty & integrity and by adhering to all safety requirements, including but not limited to complying with all OSHA state, local, & federal regulations as well as and the organization’s policies & procedures.
Responsibilities
Oversee basic maintenance & repair, as well as smaller construction projects and larger projects for a multi-facility group, primarily dealerships.
Maintain working knowledge of exterior & interior building systems and vital systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, etc.
Demonstrate strong verbal & written communication skills; build positive relationships with vendors & owners; maintain a high level of cooperation & competence.
Proficiently record and manage work using a workorder system; perform duties with honesty, integrity, and in compliance with safety requirements (OSHA, state, local, & federal regulations) and company policies & procedures.
Qualifications
Experience in construction management as an owner's representative
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial building construction and maintenance and/or a 2-to-4-year college degree in a related field
Must be able to read and comprehend measurements, instructions & information in the English language to include but not limited to price quotes, blue prints, electrical and HVAC diagrams, etc.
Must be certified & safely able to operate a forklift
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (you must be insurable)
Maintain a clean, acceptable, safe driving record
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements which include a drug screen, a social media check, a background check, and a motor vehicle check
