POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Naval Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in new vessel design development. The candidate will perform vessel design development, structural design, and auxiliary systems design for various marine crafts such as patrol vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in new vessel design development for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, windfarm support vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges
Familiarity with auxiliary systems design is preferred
Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino software is desirable
Proposal writing experience is a benefit
SKILLS
Proficiency in structural design and stability analysis
Familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO, and other applicable regulations
Strong understanding of marine industry regulations and standards
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide functional design expertise for various new construction programs
Develop designs for new vessels, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Perform structural design and stability analysis
Contribute to proposal writing efforts
