Job Description Summary

Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Monitor product quality and process control. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process, and quality management system. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, raw materials, analysis, and the quality system. Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected. Submit and track non-conforming material to customer MRB’s. Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions through designated channels. Lead the investigation of escapes to determine root cause and corrective action. Utilize product and process knowledge to identify process and management system improvements opportunities. Implement defect detection and avoidance measures and develop and implement First Pass Quality measures. Develop a working knowledge of both upstream and downstream processes to improve and contribute to the overall manufacturing process. Develop process capability metrics for assigned product and utilize statistical methods to develop and implement capability improvements. Develop and conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Write and implement quality procedures. Apply FLIGHT DECK principles to develop product, process, and manufacturing improvements. Learn/ be knowledgeable of GE Aerospace Quality Systems. Friday to Monday, four-day work week. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing). Desired Characteristics Prior experience in areas of quality assurance such as: DOE, incoming material control, process control, product evaluation, MSA, and/or metrology. Experience with polymer or chemical manufacturing. Experience with continuous manufacturing. Ability to conduct internal and external quality audits to recognize improvement opportunities and working understanding of quality management systems. Knowledge of AS9100 regulatory requirements. Ability to apply statistical methods to analysis of engineering problems. Ability to comprehend technical documentation. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
