This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional civil engineering, design, and land use solutions across Texas. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, 2D and 3D models, and construction documents to support a wide range of projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients, this role demands a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, and industry standards. Senior CAD Designers: Lead
complex design projects , ensuring high-quality and efficient drafting. Develop detailed
technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models
with precision and accuracy. Optimize designs for
manufacturability, sustainability, and cost-efficiency . Conduct
design reviews, simulations, and feasibility studies
to assess functionality. Mentor and provide guidance to
junior designers , reviewing their work for accuracy. Collaborate closely with
cross-functional teams
to align designs with project goals. Stay up to date with
CAD software advancements
and suggest improvements in workflows. Qualifications:
Senior CAD Designers: 5+ years
of professional experience in
CAD design, drafting, or modeling . Advanced proficiency in
AutoCAD, Civil 3D (REQUIRED) SolidWorks, Revit, CATIA, or similar software . Deep understanding of
industry standards, tolerances, and material specifications . Experience in
leading projects
and mentoring junior designers. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize designs for
manufacturability . Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
preferred. Additional certifications in
CAD software or design principles
are a plus. Preferred Skills (for both levels):
Familiarity with
BIM (Building Information Modeling)
and
PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
tools. Experience in
3D printing, CNC machining, or prototyping . Knowledge of
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
and
ISO drafting standards .
