Industrial Construction Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates that drive our continued success. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial and light industrial construction projects, including concrete, steel, and site work. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and required materials, labor, and equipment. Site visits may be required. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and company capabilities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and risks within project scopes. Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases for accurate forecasting. Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and contract negotiations. Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 5+ years of experience estimating in the industrial construction sector. Strong knowledge of self-performed work, including concrete, steel, and site work. Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as Sage Estimating, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or ProEst. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required. Working Hours and Location: General working hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm. This position will be based at our Self-Perform Shop in Hopewell, VA. Periodic visits to our Business Office in Richmond, VA may be required. Why Join Us?
