Senior Chemical Production Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Production Engineer to join our leading global chemical manufacturing company. $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day production support for continuous chemical operations, including troubleshooting and resolving process equipment issues. Oversee plant control systems, equipment, and distributed control systems to ensure optimal operation. Conduct process trials and spearhead process improvement projects to boost overall plant efficiency and performance. Manage continuous improvements focusing on safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost reductions. Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) re-validations to ensure compliance and maintain safety standards. Participate in, or lead, Process Safety Management (PSM) activities and audits to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations. Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required. Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical process operations highly desirable. A thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and PSM practices essential. Previous direct experience in chemical or polymer plant manufacturing required. Proven knowledge of primary unit operations like reaction, distillation, filtration, polymerization, crystallization, and separation. Preferred Qualifications: Working toward, or holding, a Professional Chemical Engineer License preferred. Extensive experience with reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, crystallizers, centrifuges, filters, strainers, and pumps. Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively resolve production issues and optimize plant operations. Excellent leadership and communication skills to lead teams and projects, ensuring high levels of safety and efficiency. Capability to design and implement process improvements in a continuous operating environment. Proficient with various types of process engineering software and distributed control systems.
