Position We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor CAD Drafter/Survey CAD Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will create precise technical drawings, maps, and plans for a variety of land surveying projects, transforming raw field data into professional survey documents with a strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

Utilize Civil3D and MicroStation software to prepare accurate and detailed survey drawings, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and plat maps.

Interpret and translate raw field data, survey notes, and points into digital formats.

Collaborate with land surveyors, project managers, and engineers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all survey documents.

Adhere to industry standards, company procedures, and project-specific requirements.

Perform quality control checks on all drawings to identify and correct errors.

Maintain and organize project files, including survey data, drawings, and supporting documentation.

Communicate effectively with team members to clarify project requirements and resolve technical issues.

Minimum Requirements

3 years of proven experience as a CAD Drafter or Technician in a land surveying environment.

1+ years expertise in Civil3D and/or MicroStation software.

Strong understanding of land surveying principles, terminology, and techniques.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting survey notes, plats, and deeds.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Requirements

Associate's degree or certificate in drafting, surveying, or a related field.

Experience with other surveying-related software (e.g., Trimble Business Center, ESRI ArcGIS).

Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to surveying and mapping.

Effective communication and organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
