Lead Substation Engineer

to join our diverse and fast-paced Pittsburgh, PA organization. As a core team member, you will lead and design high voltage utility substation projects and interact with various electric utility disciplines. Responsibilities

Lead conceptual and detailed HV and MV substation design for medium to large scale utilities/substations, including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one line, three line drawings, plan-section, grounding, AC and DC system drawings. Take complete ownership of each project, including management of technical design, staffing, schedule, and budget. Possess excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and clients to meet project objectives. Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters. Develop and review project proposals, including scopes of work and cost estimates. Perform quality control reviews on medium to large substation projects. Continually improve and maximize team quality and efficiency. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Eight (8+) years of direct experience in substation design Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license Master’s degree in related field Experience leading a project team What We Do
