Role Summary
Painting Inspector ensures painting/coating quality by inspecting surface prep, application, and finish per project specs and safety standards. Handles QA/QC activities, documentation, third-party inspections, pre-dispatch checks, and final verification. Certified Painting Inspector experienced in industrial coating inspection for valves/pressure equipment. Skilled in surface prep, DFT checks, paint system verification, and compliance with NACE, ISO standards. Strong in third-party inspection coordination and quality documentation. Key Responsibilities
Ensure quality & safety per company and project standards Inspect painting/coating of valves, actuators, accessories (stage-wise) Monitor weather conditions for painting suitability Prepare and follow ITPs & procedures Handle third-party, pre-dispatch, and final inspections Maintain QA documentation and records Conduct internal audits & supplier evaluations Coordinate with paint manufacturers and clients Review calibration status, ensure product readiness Address quality issues, NCR/CAPA process & customer complaints Provide training and ensure safety compliance Job Requirements
B.E/Diploma (Mech/Production) with 5–8 yrs QC/Painting Inspection experience NACE Level 2 Certified Coating Inspector Skilled in surface prep (Sa 2.5, SSPC-SP), DFT/WFT checks, adhesion & holiday testing Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, API SPEC Q1 Knowledge of ASME, ISO, ASTM, EN standards Good communication & problem-solving skills NDE Level II (PT, MT, UT, RT) preferred SAP, MS Office, chemicals/sealants knowledge a plus
