NAVIFOR (Navy Information Forces) leads the Information Warfare (IW) Enterprise in generating agile, technically superior, and combat-ready IW forces. NAVIFOR is responsible for IW force generation delivery to Naval and Joint operational commanders, along with doctrine and policy development, training requirements, and IW community management. Within NAVIFOR, the N6 - Navy Enterprise Networks Directorate, coordinates Navy wide efforts to manage and plan for the use of a secure, and interoperable naval networks to include Navy communications, Information Technology (IT), and space systems. Position Description:
JMark is seeking a highly skilled
Technical Writer
to provide this specialized service in alignment with the N6 mission to advance, deliver, and sustain NAVIFOR capabilities and readiness. This role is critical to capturing and communicating Command initiatives across a variety of formats and audiences. Primary Tasks: Develop, write, and edit technical documentation including reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and brochures Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and synthesize complex information Review and revise written materials for clarity, and alignment with Command objectives Support strategic communications with technical summaries, statements, data reports, or advisory papers Ensure consistency in scope, format, and content across all communications Support N6’s enterprise-wide initiatives through clear and effective documentation Assist in utilizing strategic communication tools, tactics, methods or products to propagate messages or build awareness across the NAVIFOR mission areas. Secret Clearance
is required Two years’ experience as a technical writer or related field Proven technical writing experience in a military, defense, or government environment Working understanding of Information Warfare concepts and terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams Desired Skills Technical writing experience with a Navy unit or organization supporting the Navy Familiarity with Navy IW mission areas and objectives Experience supporting enterprise-level technical programs Proficiency in documentation tools and content management systems JMark Services is a direct recipient of federal contracts and associated funding.
