Position Summary: Join the University of Dayton\'s vibrant Student Development team and make a lasting impact on both our campus community and your career. As Assistant Director of Organizational Development, you\'ll play a pivotal role in strengthening the programs, services, and leadership initiatives that shape our students\' transformative experiences. As Assistant Director of Organizational Development, you will manage the lifecycle of student organizations, from official recognition to event management. This role advises student groups and their leaders on event registration, risk management, and university policies. It maintains the official student organization database, develops a training curriculum for student leaders, and serves as a behavioral resolution officer. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director of Leadership and Organizational Development.
Responsibilities
Manage the lifecycle of student organizations from recognition to event management.
Advise student groups and leaders on event registration, risk management, and university policies.
Maintain the official student organization database.
Develop a comprehensive training curriculum for student leaders.
Serve as a behavioral resolution officer.
Collaborate with the Senior Associate Director of Leadership and Organizational Development.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, or related field
Two years experience in Student Affairs
Ability to plan, organize, and implement campus programs
Mastery of written and oral communication
openness and willingness to work in a Catholic, Marianist educational environment
Experience working with student organization issues surrounding risk management and event planning
Experience working with assessment and student learning outcomes
Experience or exposure to the student conduct process
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds
Experience advising high risk events
Experience with adjudicating student conduct cases
Demonstrated experience with interdepartmental collaboration
