The Surimi Lead positions lead processing lines dedicated to surimi production. This department is equipped with specialized machinery and equipment for processing fish into surimi. Note: Surimi Lead I residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of $15 per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered. Responsibilities

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs) Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Independently operates mixing and washing in surimi operations. Monitors and maintains production parameters to achieve optimal product quality. Reports equipment malfunctions or product quality issues to senior technicians or supervisors. Manages paperwork relevant to surimi production. Tracks/records the ingredients such as sugar, cryo and packaging (the amount of plastic used throughout the day). Trains and guides surimi seafood processors on standard operating procedures and best practices. Cleans and maintains equipment and work areas to meet hygiene standards. Handles chemicals in accordance with proper safety clean up procedures during clean ups. Performs quality control checks on the surimi product during production. Knowledge of dismantling, cleaning, and assembling machinery during clean ups in a safe manner. Assists in the preparation and processing of surimi raw materials. Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska. Required Qualifications

Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before High school diploma or equivalent Four (4) years’ experience, able to operate surimi line and monitor flow. Preferred education and experience

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Additional eligibility requirements

Familiarity with the surimi production process, including the principles of fish deboning, washing, grinding, and forming surimi paste. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure the production of safe and high-quality surimi products. The ability to conduct precise measurements, perform quality control checks, and follow strict procedures to maintain product consistency and quality. Work environment and physical demands

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical demands:

Surimi staff may be required to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy loads and working in cold environments. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
