The Lab Supervisor isresponsible for professional application of the principles, theories, andtechniques of clinical laboratory science necessary to produce reliable resultsto aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and maintainingskills in manual and automated testing of moderate and high complexity in allsections of the laboratory. The labsupervisor must work efficiently, unsupervised, and is expected to exerciseindependent judgment; is responsible for computer skills, proficiency in usingthe Laboratory Information System, and for abiding by all regulatoryrequirements. EDUCATION Bachelor of Science degree in MedicalTechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biological Science TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certification as Medical Technologist by ASCP or NCA.
