Overview
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant to join their employed, 3 Neonatologist and 6 NNP team in the Boise metropolitan area. Our 32-bed, Level III NICU in Boise provides a high level of care for 250+ infants annually, offering conventional ventilation, iNO, HFOV, and jet ventilation for very early preterm, late preterm and term infants. The NICU serves families from Boise and the surrounding areas in Idaho and eastern Oregon to allow expert neonatal care close to home. The Saint Alphonsus Family Maternity Center delivers 1,200+ infants a year and is staffed by a highly certified L&D nursing staff, OB Hospitalist service, and onsite 24-hour anesthesia (CRNA) coverage. Our safety-oriented team of OB/GYNs collaborate with on-campus Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians, Neonatologists, and genetic counselors to serve the region’s diverse patient population. Our NICU in Nampa
includes a 6-bed Level II unit (15 miles west of Boise), clinically integrated with the Birkeland Maternity Center with an annual delivery rate of 1,000+ babies and is the only NICU in Canyon County. The NICU provides a high level of care for newborns >34 weeks and 1,500g. With a commitment to practicing up-to-date, evidence-based medicine, the NICU team’s family-centered approach encourages parents and our expert staff in both the Boise and Nampa units to work together to achieve outcomes that exceed national benchmarks. Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions; Co-manage NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients; participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist in the NICU by providing active management strategies that may include nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab and radiology review, and updating families. Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner program with current RN and APRN licensure; current national board certification as NNP desired. OR graduate of a Physician Assistant program with neonatal fellowship/residency, and current PA-C licensure. Current DEA and controlled substance Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC – Boise and SAMC - Nampa; Clinical experience at a level 3 NICU preferred Commitment to
