Manufacturing Specialist, Machining Responsibilities

Execute the production, assembly, and integration of complex machined parts in a multi-axis machine shop Resolve, analyze, and solve manufacturing discrepancies, while interfacing with the quality team (resolving issues for design, fabrication, and assembly) Fully develop and implement future state production systems for all products Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills up to 5-axis Inspect parts using hand tools to verify dimensions Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and/or verbal instructions Work with complex, tight-tolerance parts and various materials Meet expectations for productivity Communicate with shop leadership when production is inhibited Continuously provide feedback for process improvements Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 5+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment; OR bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 5-axis milling Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with Siemens Controller / Okuma Controller / On-Machine Touch Probe Strong understanding of NC programming, CMM programming, PLC programming Experience with capacity modeling, process mapping and fault analysis Pareto analysis, root cause and corrective action experience Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience Additional Requirements

Must be open to work either shift, overtime and/or weekends as needed Ability to work the following shift options: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday: 4am-2:30pm) 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday: 3:30pm-2am) Standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: Manufacturing Specialist/Level 4: $43.00 - $52.00/hour Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is one part of SpaceX’s total rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives (stock or stock options), discretionary bonuses, stock purchases, comprehensive medical/vision/dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, and other benefits.
