Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to travel, work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed. Pay Range:
Starting at $28.00 an hour Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs thorough inspection of railcars/railcar components. Maintains current knowledge of government, industry (FRA & AAR), customer, and company policy, procedures, and work instructions. Inspects and ensures workmanship meets government, industry (FRA & AAR), customer, and company quality requirements. Proficient in the interpretation of drawings and specification, including weld and nondestructive testing symbols. May participate in root-cause investigations, and corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence. Complete Daily JSA’s for job to be performed. Complete Confined Space Entry Permits or Retain Copy of Confined Space Permit Create reports to document inspections per customer requirements. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Performs other duties as may be assigned by Inspection Manager Overall Responsibilities:
Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies Ensures FRA, AAR and/or ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task Job Qualifications:
Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S. Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
