Overview The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving organizational change through focused improvement initiatives aligned with key performance indicators, including safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost, growth, and employee engagement. This role requires strong proficiency in Lean, DMAIC, FMEA, SEMD, RCA, and Kaizen methodologies, and the ability to coach, train, and mentor others in PCB’s Continuous Improvement framework. Success will be measured by the ability to lead project-based activities and strategic steering teams that deliver measurable, sustainable results. Key Responsibilities Partner with Engineers and Corporate CI teams to gain expertise in Lean and DMAIC methodology, then apply knowledge to high-priority projects that directly support plant KPIs. Develop, maintain, audit, train, and enhance the CI operating system, encompassing the Management Operating System (MOS), Problem Solving, Standard Work, and People & Leadership pillars. Drive deployment of planned improvements to achieve annual targets through the effective use of MOS, A3 strategy process, Redzone software, problem-solving techniques, and loss control meetings. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Facilitate and sustain continuous improvement by embedding Lean principles into plant culture, processes, and goals. Collaborate with technical resources and leadership to identify efficiencies, prioritize projects, and track results against Cost Out targets. Coach, train, and mentor employees in root cause analysis, problem-solving, Leader Standard Work, 5S+1, and other CI/Lean/TPM tools. Act as a change agent by challenging wasteful processes and implementing value-added solutions. Lead and participate in cross-functional Kaizen teams to resolve problems and achieve performance targets. Drive both incremental and breakthrough improvements to meet or exceed operational metrics. Share best practices and build strong collaboration with CI resources across all PCB facilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Education 4-year degree preferably in Engineering, Business, or Science. Experience 3-7 years combined related work experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma/TPM efforts preferred. Desired Skills Strong commitment to safety with the ability to create and maintain a safe work environment. Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, with the ability to model and apply them effectively. Proven analytical skills, sound business judgment, and expertise in problem-solving and troubleshooting. Ability to influence, mentor, and coach others to deliver results.
