We encourage our Cardiac Radiographers to develop their expertise and knowledge within the Cath Lab to take an active role in the patient care pathway. In-house and Manufacturer training is provided for all specialist equipment used within the Cath Lab such as IVUS, OCT imaging and SynVision, pressure wire and microvascular studies in order to develop skills and confidence. Complex procedures also incorporate the use of Rotablation and Shockwave IVL for treatment. Stock control is important for effective use of resources and the department uses an IMS for this. We pride ourselves on a supportive environment for our Cath Lab team. There is in house provision of education and training across the broad spectrum of equipment and procedures and undertaken within the department. We are constantly striving to improve the service we offer our patients and welcome ideas and development in practice. Must have recent post-graduate work experience and have worked in the NHS as a diagnostic radiographer. About us

Education, Qualifications and training

BSc Radiography or equivalent Diploma in Radiography. HCPC registration Evidence of CPD/Relevant specialist course Skills and Abilities

Evidence of ability to practice as a proficient practitioner. Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients and visitors. Evidence of an ability to manage time effectively. Understanding of clinical governance and its requirements. Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality. Knowledge of clinical audit Experience of using computer software including Microsoft word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Knowledge and Experience

Demonstrates interest and an awareness of the skills required in Cardiac Catheter Lab Awareness and understanding of relevant legislation relating to radiation safety.
