We are looking for an exceptional pediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about making a difference with children and being a part of something greater than themselves! We offer an unlimited mentoring program for new-to-outpatient pediatric therapists, as well as leadership opportunities for the more experienced therapist.
About TheraPlay Spot :
TheraPlay Spot is a therapist-owned family-friendly pediatric outpatient clinic situated in the heart of Wichita, just a five-minute walk from the Keeper of the Plains and the downtown area. Our sensory-focused clinic features a forest-themed waiting room, creating a playful work atmosphere while maintaining excellence in our services. Our therapists have access to individual treatment rooms and two fully equipped sensory therapy gyms. We offer telehealth visits as needed, from home or the clinic, and encourage optional visits to homes, communities, private schools, preschools, and daycares for a well-rounded perspective of the kids' lives.
Our Investment in Our Pediatric Occupational Therapist:
Flexible scheduling (days and hours) on the front end to work around your preferred schedule
Primarily in-clinic treatment sessions with option to include telehealth, community or home visits.
Mentoring/coaching from experienced OTR and managers
We will hire with as few as 10 scheduled treatment hours/week.
We are willing to hire an eval-only OTR with as few as 4 evals/month.

Pediatric Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
Evaluate children from infants to teens with a variety of physical disabilities and neurodivergent diagnoses
Create individual POC's with achievable and meaningful goals, with parent/caregiver input
Treat children through playful and highly beneficial sessions
Adapt to each child's needs to maximize successful outcomes
Empower and coach parents for the home carryover and buy-in to the therapy process
Communicate openly and effectively with children, families, and co-workers
Complete timely and accurate documentation
Collaborate with other OTs, PTs, and speech therapists
Attend monthly staff meetings and in-services
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Requirements:
Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy
Licenses: Driver's license, Kansas OT license
Must pass prior employer check and criminal background check
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision (unless participating in the Mentoring Program)
One year of outpatient pediatric experience
Experience with Sensory Processing Disorder is a plus!
SOS or AEIOU (or similar feeding training) and sensory-based feeding experience with picky eaters and food aversions. (Paid training is available for those willing to specialize).
Must have time management skills that are average or better.
