Summary The Diagnostic Technologist (Radiographer) is fully competent to perform all radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for the diagnosis of specific diseases or conditions.
Education and Formal Training
Graduated from an accredited program in the radiologic sciences.
ARRT (Radiography) registered or registry eligible.
Maintain a current AHA BLS certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department.
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
New graduates may apply if ARRT registered or registry eligible.
New graduates who are registry eligible must register within twelve months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Provide patient care based on developmental needs for all age groups.
Experience in treating and interacting effectively with patients of all ages.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity.
Respond to emergency situations with mobility.
Lift up to 100 lbs and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
Contact with potentially infectious materials may occur.
