Overnight Veterinary Assistant Job at VCA Animal Hospitals in Chico

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team. This position will be 4 10 hour shifts that work the overnight shift. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

Responsibilities

• Assisting doctors with treatments
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets

Qualifications

For this role, we do require at least two years of veterinary experience as an assistant working directly with the animals in a treatment setting.

Compensation

This position has hourly range of $17-$22.00 with a $5.00 overnight differential in addition to the base pay.
