Overview

This position is located within the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, FL. The Medical Technician - Phlebotomy provides assistance to Medical Technologists, Supervisors, and Managers in performing specimen collection, examination, receipt, processing and shipment procedures as well as phlebotomy in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in specimen collection, examination, receipt, processing, and shipment procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide support to Medical Technologists, Supervisors, and Managers as needed.
