A) Job Summary

The Warehouse Packer ensures accurate, efficient packing and staging of electronic components and systems for shipment. You'll adhere to strict packing standards, maintain inventory records, and collaborate with receiving, inventory control, and shipping teams to meet daily outbound targets.

B) Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Packing

  • Review pick tickets and packing lists; select correct items from staging area.
  • Inspect parts for defects; verify quantities and part numbers.
  • Pack items with appropriate materials (foam, bubble wrap, crates); seal and label packages.
  • Prepare pallets and crates for LTL / FTL shipments; secure loads according to DOT standards.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Update WMS / ERP systems with packing and staging data.
  • Complete shipment logs, BOLs, and quality check forms.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisor immediately.

Warehouse Support & Safety

  • Assist forklift operators with pallet staging and material movement.
  • Maintain clean, organized packing stations and aisles.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols : PPE, LOTO, and ergonomic best practices.

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate packing status and issues to Warehouse Supervisor and Shipping team.
  • Participate in daily warehouse meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

C) Qualifications

Required :

High school diploma or GED.

  • 1+ year warehouse or packing experience (experience with electronics or tech equipment preferred).
  • Basic computer literacy; comfortable using WMS or ERP interfaces.
  • Strong attention to detail; able to follow precise packing procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand / walk for entire shift.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred :

  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with OSHA / DOT shipping regulations and packaging standards.
  • Familiarity with barcoding and labeling equipment.

D) Physical & Work Environment

Warehouse setting : exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.

Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching; occasional climbing ladders or steps.

Use of standard PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection).
