Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of cutting‑edge printed circuit boards (PCBs) from concept through to production. The ideal candidate is a problem‑solver with a strong background in electronics hardware design, capable of delivering robust, reliable solutions in a fast‑paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on advanced technologies and contribute to groundbreaking products and is onsite in Pensacola, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new PCBs focused on high‑speed digital and analog circuits, ensuring optimal performance, signal integrity, and thermal management.
- Generate detailed schematics and PCB layouts using industry‑standard tools.
- Participate in board bring‑up activities, including hardware troubleshooting, debugging, and validation to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct design reviews, simulations, and analyses to verify circuit functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical designers, and manufacturing specialists, to integrate designs into complete systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in PCB design and electronics development.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of hands‑on experience in PCB design, with a proven track record in high‑speed and analog circuit development.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, EMI/EMC considerations, and component selection.
- Experience with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing video processing systems and/or computer hardware products.
- Hands‑on experience working with FPGAs, including integration and verification in PCB designs.
- Prior involvement in product lifecycle management, from prototyping to mass production.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
