SSC Services For Education is hiring: JANITOR (PART TIME) in Argyle

Overview

We are hiring immediately for part-time JANITOR positions at Blanton Elementary, 1901 Stacee Lane, Argyle, TX 76226. Openings at other locations within the school district are available. Online applications accepted only.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors; moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and returns items to correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment; sanitizes surfaces and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes the initiative to complete tasks; completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and local guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Details

• Fixed Pay Rate: $12.70 per hour.
• Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
• Location: Blanton Elementary – 1901 Stacee Lane, Argyle, TX 76226 (openings at other district locations; online applications accepted only).
