What You’ll Do
As an Accounting Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our organization. You’ll process accounts payable and receivable transactions, prepare vendor payments and deposits, assist with payroll processing and related reporting, and support month-end closings and account reconciliations. You’ll also help with annual audits, grant reporting, and compliance documentation while maintaining organized, accurate financial records. Every task you complete helps sustain programs that make a real difference in the lives of women and families in our community.
What You Bring
You have an associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (a bachelor’s degree is preferred) and at least two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting. You’re skilled in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred), highly organized, and detail-oriented. Most importantly, you bring integrity, initiative, and a strong commitment to YWCA Dayton’s mission and values.
This position is salary - non-exempt starting at $19-$22/hr
