AIS Industrial and Construction Supply, located in Denver, is looking for an Accounting Assistant to help support our growing business. As an Accounting Assistant, you’ll be assisting the head of our finance & accounting group with all things related to this function. AIS, who has been in business for over 80 years continues to grow rapidly and we’re looking for a skilled Accounting Assistant to act as a key contributor to the finance & accounting function as we continue to grow and expand our processes.

AIS is in the Industrial MRO, Safety, and Construction supplies business selling to contractors, powerplants, construction jobsites, and more. Our team as a whole helps customers find nationally branded products that we’re the experts at sourcing and delivering them in ways that the “big boxes” can’t match. In fact, we’re so good at this that we’ve made it into a slogan: “Think Outside the Big Box.” You’ll be able to contribute to the profitability and success of our 76-year-old company that’s widely-known for our warm company culture and excellent customer service.
$18.81-$20/hr depends on experience.

Responsibilities
- Must be well organized.
- Ability to work well in a professional team/corporate office environment, as well as the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-starter demonstrating thoroughness and extreme attention to detail.
- Strong planning, coordination, organization, time-management abilities.
- Extremely organized, yet very comfortable in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Ability to multi-task learning to apply new skills quickly.
- High computer literacy including strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to process invoices and check requests into the operating system.
- Make collection calls and send emails on past due accounts.
- Resolve past due vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Prepare required reports for management in a timely and effective manner.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks or other duties as needed.
- Work hours include Monday-Friday from 7:30am - 4:30pm.
- Show up on time daily.
