Job Description Summary

Adjunct Instructors facilitate student learning and develop instructional strategies that promote student success.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Plan and execute AHA curriculum and deliver courses in accordance with AHA standards.
• Facilitate video presentations, lead lectures, demonstrate skills, administer skill testing, respond to student questions, and complete post‑course documentation.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grades, ensure safety and equipment security.
• Participate in faculty meetings and AHA trainings.
• Collaborate with Student Services to support student retention and success.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree or higher preferred.
• At least one year of teaching experience.
• Valid AHA Instructor certification in BLS, PALS, or ACLS.
• Valid Driver’s License; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with LMS and instructional technology.

Additional Requirements

• Work independently, manage course material, demonstrate strong verbal communication.
• Background check verified; subject to FVTC motor vehicle records check.
• Will travel to various training locations.
• Work is primarily in person; may include outdoor instruction.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $45.00.
