Overview

Guardian Service Industries is a family‑owned facility management corporation established in 1918. We supply janitorial, security, pest control, engineering and operations staffing services to over 1,000 clients across commercial, government, residential, industrial, transportation and retail sectors on the East Coast and New England.

Responsibilities

  • Warm Welcome & Professional Presence – Greet all guests, clients and colleagues with a friendly smile, eye contact and a sincere welcome. Maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times.
  • Guest Experience & Hospitality – Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance proactively (e.g., directions, refreshments, service information). Provide personalized service by remembering frequent visitors and adapting greetings accordingly. Ensure lobby area is clean, organized and stocked with necessary hospitality items.
  • Visitor Management – Check in visitors when needed following all security and safety protocols. Issue visitor badges and provide clear instructions for navigating the building. Communicate guest arrivals to appropriate contacts efficiently.
  • Information & Support – Answer questions about the facilities, events or services in a knowledgeable and courteous manner. Direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Safety & Compliance – Monitor lobby activity to ensure safety and compliance with building policies. Report any suspicious activity or maintenance needs promptly.

Work Environment

This role is based in the lobby and reception area, requiring extended periods of standing. The Lobby Ambassador interacts continuously with a variety of people, requiring a positive attitude and strong adaptability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality, front desk, customer service or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a naturally warm, approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and visitor management software (training provided if necessary).
  • Punctual, dependable, and detail oriented.
