Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our internal IT team onsite in Charleston, SC.
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you'll manage, design, and support our network and application security platforms. You'll collaborate with teams and vendors to oversee daily operations of our information security infrastructure, develop and maintain security measures, define and implement controls, tools, standards, procedures, and ensure compliance. You'll also drive strategic solutions, investigate threats, and mitigate risks. This role offers the opportunity to work across various infosec domains, influence our security program, and grow professionally.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring systems, logs, and responding to security events, incidents, and anomalies.
- Performing security scans and assessments using tools like Azure Sentinel, firewalls, endpoint platforms, etc.
- Managing responses to security incidents, threats, and compliance issues.
- Working with applications and devices such as Defender, Azure, O365, Cisco ASA firewalls, Firepower, and others.
- Ensuring solutions meet compliance and security requirements across projects.
- Developing and implementing security measures to protect systems.
- Recommending improvements to existing controls.
- Conducting threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and recommend controls.
- Updating documentation including security plans, assessments, and procedures.
- Staying current on regulatory and industry standards.
- Providing technical support for infosec issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Experience with security best practices in enterprise, networking, OS, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with OWASP, NIST, ISO, CIS, SANS frameworks.
- Knowledge of Azure, Cisco, and Microsoft security products.
- Understanding of security tools, vulnerability scanning, and remediation.
- Fundamentals of IT and security concepts.
- Risk analysis and mitigation experience.
- Ownership and process improvement skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft GCC High Azure and O365 security.
- Experience implementing NIST controls.
- Knowledge of CMMC, SAML, Oauth, scripting languages.
