Bar Manager

Reporting To: Deputy General Manager

Overview

As Bar Manager, you will deliver an outstanding beverage experience while ensuring seamless bar operations. You will lead a team to craft exceptional drinks, uphold service excellence, and create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Working closely with the Deputy General Manager, you will implement strategies to drive revenue growth, maintain quality and efficiency, and set high standards for hospitality.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Bar Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficient service, proper stock levels, and adherence to quality standards.
• Team Supervision & Development: Train, motivate, and develop the bar team, fostering high performance and continuous skill development.
• Execution of Strategies & Promotions: Implement drink menus, promotions, and service enhancements that boost guest engagement and sales.
• Cost & Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and minimize waste to maintain cost efficiency.
• Guest Experience & Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding beverage service with consistency, speed, and hospitality.

Skills Required

• Experience: At least 2 years in a bar or hospitality leadership role.
• Team Leadership & Management: Lead and motivate bar teams with high performance.
• Bar Operations Expertise: Manage daily bar operations, from drink preparation to stock control.
• Financial Awareness: Budgeting, cost control, and inventory management for profitability.
• Guest-Centric Approach: Passion for providing an outstanding guest experience.
• Strong Communication Skills: Interpersonal and communication abilities for staff, suppliers, and management.
• Industry Knowledge: Current trends in cocktails and bar operations; certifications preferred.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Quick assessment and effective solutions in fast-moving environments.
• Execution of Initiatives: Support promotional activities, menu changes, and operational improvements.

Basic Physical Requirements

Lifting up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds as required. Stand and walk for extended periods, frequent hand washing, and use knives and slicing equipment. Communicate with guests and manipulate handheld and desktop devices.

Salary

$70,000 per year
