Purpose Statement

The Higher Level Assembly Technician assesses, implements, and maintains manufacturing procedures for intricate assembly processes. As a key technical advocate within the Focus Factory Team, they enable efficiency, accuracy and safety improvements in Plexus’s assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executes manufacturing solutions and provides services that are high‑quality, cost‑appropriate and satisfy customer requirements while applying process improvement or troubleshooting as required.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools to perform necessary work including creation, analysis and verification of documentation, programs, models, processes or production as required.
  • Demonstrates a basic, discipline‑specific understanding of how they support the full Plexus manufacturing processes / product requirements & specifications as applied to their role.
  • Successfully executes responsibilities under supervision in accordance with good manufacturing practices and Plexus’ manufacturing processes and provides support to direct production line operators.
  • Possesses a basic understanding of equipment / process control / safety / risk awareness / setup awareness / operation as applied to their role.

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year completed of an Associate’s degree OR the completion of a Diploma in a discipline related to electronics / manufacturing / engineering or science.
  • One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Compensation Range

$37,700.00 – $56,500.00
