Excel Mechanical is now a part of the Ace Hardware Family! Our teams are growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for an HVAC Install Supervisor in Tewksbury, MA. Ace Hardware has been serving neighbors throughout America for nearly 100 years. Ace recognized the need for a trusted national service provider for home repairs - namely, plumbing, heating, cooling & electrical services. The HVAC Install Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of field technicians through constructing and leading the team with skills and extensive knowledge. This role is in charge of ensuring work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner by portraying strong examples of leadership.
What You'll Do: Supervise our technicians and jobs with company goals and growth in mind. Working alongside your fellow technicians in the field, facilitate a team atmosphere through skill, example, and attitude. Manage install teams, assigning multiple projects amongst each crew. Conduct daily technicians and job check-ins to ensure work is done correctly and efficiently. Track progress through forms, audits, monthly scorecards, and other methods. Conduct QC visits throughout the week, documenting the work performed by the company. Perform inspections on work completed to ensure the project has been completed to the satisfaction of the customer and the quality expected. Confirm all work is within local building codes and able to pass any necessary inspections. Interact with customers with a positive attitude, offering the best customer service around. Coach technicians and apprentices to further improve their skills and grow within the department. Maximize training opportunities to increase the skill set of your team of technicians. Assist with training of apprentices and installers. Complete special projects and perform other job duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed: High school diploma or equivalent. 6+ years Residential HVAC install field experience. EPA Certification Required. NATE Certification is a plus. ServiceTitan experience is a plus. Advanced leadership and Labor Management Coursework is a plus. Able to pass a drug screening and background check (random testing may occur) Ability to set and achieve timeline goals. Proficient working with financial reports. Proficient in working with Excel and Word. Must be a self-starter and be responsible and accountable. Ability to multi-task and handle consistent workflow in a fast-paced environment. Quick learner, highly adaptable to new processes Good project management skills Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, walk, and stand for several hours up to a full 8-hour workday. Talk and hear, both in person and by telephone Use hands repetitively to operate computers and standard office equipment. Reach with hands and arms lifting up to 30 lbs. Ability to see up close and at a distance.
