Clinical Research Coordinator – Emergency Medicine Site: The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Inc. Mass General Brigham is a not‑for‑profit medical center dedicated to patient care, research, teaching, and community service. This role is part of the Department of Emergency Medicine’s Division of Clinical Research, supporting federally funded and industry‑sponsored studies that seek new treatments for infections, trauma, stroke, and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Position Overview The Clinical Research Coordinator assists with ongoing and future clinical research studies on a full‑time basis. Responsibilities include patient recruitment, consent, data collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, and regulatory support. Evening hours, weekends, and on‑call duties (one weekend and five weekday nights per month) may be required. The position is ideal for individuals pursuing graduate studies or a career in medicine, public health, or clinical research.

Key Responsibilities

Review study proposals for compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines.

Recruit patients for clinical trials, conduct telephone screening, and obtain informed consent.

Verify accuracy of study forms and update data per protocol.

Prepare data for analysis and enter data into study databases.

Document patient visits and study procedures.

Assist with regulatory binders, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures, and study submissions.

Support interview of study subjects and coordinate study activities within the emergency department.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Science required.

EMT certification preferred.

Proficiency in Spanish and English preferred (to be assessed).

0–1 year of relevant research experience preferred.

Understanding of clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements.

Work Information Location:

45 Francis Street, Boston, MA – onsite. Schedule:

40 hours per week, rotating shifts; evening/ weekend/ on‑call duties may be required. Pay:

$19.76–$28.44 per hour.
