The Opportunity CACI is seeking a talented Penetration Tester to work on a niche project team with specific experience planning and executing penetration tests in a Windows environment. You will be called upon to solve technical puzzles every day using your breadth of computer, network, and application pen‑testing experience.

As a functional member of a cyber red team, you will look for creative ways to break into a range of customer systems and illustrate to stakeholders what could happen if an adversary were to take aim at their network. Individuals with experience in or across a range of technical disciplines in IT and cybersecurity engineering, possessing a strong desire to serve in a role delivering great mission impact, fit in well with our team and find this role highly rewarding.

Responsibilities

Windows Sys‑Admin for sponsor

Microsoft Windows / Active Directory

Identify weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies

Draft assessment reports and memoranda regarding vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations and possible remedies

Develop and provide assessment briefings

Qualifications Required

Must have an active TS/SCI with required Polygraph clearance

University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 7+ years of related work experience

Must have expertise in Windows penetration testing tools and techniques

Ability to clearly communicate findings through written and oral products

Understanding of networking and network components, including basic IP fundamentals and how protocols work, and be able to analyze, inspect any new applications and traffic flows with the capability of breaking down the interactions to network devices

Understanding of network technologies (i.e., routers, switches, database servers, etc.)

Experienced in use of network security technologies (i.e., firewalls, proxies, iptables, AV solutions, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.)

Proficient with installation, management, and have developmental knowledge of Internet technologies

Understanding of security implementation and setup for both system and networking functions, encryption methods

Understanding in cloud computing platform technology (i.e., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google, cloud computing environment and cloud security)

Understanding of cellular technology, from device power on/off, network functions (SMS, MMS, Voice, data) and cellular system functions

Understanding of Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Mac OS, Mobile OS, etc.)

Understanding of wireless computer networking and RF technology

Proficient in performing computer network evaluations to include penetration security assessments

Proficient in network vulnerability analysis and penetration testing with commercial tools (i.e., Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Canvas, Kismet, BackTrack, etc.)

Proficient in Windows System Administration with basic understanding of Cisco switches & firewalls

Working knowledge of Nessus, Nipper and Nmap

Understanding of voice telephony in how PBX are set up and function

Understanding how voice services work (i.e., voicemail, voice portals)

Understanding of programming in how code works and is developed

Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is: $114,600–$252,100 (national average for the position). Pay can vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
