Overview
As a Transportation Engineering Project Manager P.E. for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be responsible for leading delivery of roadway improvement projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design phases to construction. You will manage all aspects of schematic or PS&E plan preparation for roadway projects. The transportation engineering project manager reports to the Transportation Practice Leader. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage mid- to large-size transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of project lifecycle; Prepare scope, schedule, and budgets for projects; Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving abilities; Oversee the design for roadway, highway, and traffic engineering projects; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes; Assist in business development and proposal efforts. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Minimum 10+ years’ experience in roadway design, preferably large public works or similar infrastructure projects; Registered Professional Engineer in AZ or ability to obtain AZ PE within 6 months; Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer; Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; Ability to work with a multi-disciplined staff of project managers, engineers, and field inspectors; Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices and familiarity with relevant codes and regulations governing construction projects; Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; Ability to work safely, collaboratively, and proactively in a team environment. Design-build team experience is a plus; Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changes in project scope and evolving design requirements; Ability to perform field/site visits; Ability to develop and mentor staff; Ability to prepare proposals and manage project execution; Ability to interface with clients, network, and develop business.
